by Dennis Driscoll and Mark Suall, this album features Driscoll's
stories about living in Inwood (a section of New York City)

Dennis on vocals. The rest of the album's
music is played by the very talented guitarist, Mark Suall. Drums on "Shitline" by Jon "Pakalolo"

The Future of Intimacy
2004
Seahag
- slighty out of tune guitar solo editing on "Drifter"
recorded at Headgear studios in Williamsburg, Brooklyn by
dan long. It says Bush is a cock on the back of this record.
Jack Darakos is the singer/guitarist from this band and
a good friend of mine from school. He also gets really trippy
with feedback from his guitar. He's quite excellent at it.

Matty
Love - guitar, lead vocals
Mikey Retard - bass, goat yells
Jonny Pakalolo - drums, backing vocals
Robbie Seahag - lead guitar on "The Man vs. NYC"
Recording
this track was the first time I've ever really hung out with
Matty or Mikey, but Pakalolo was old school and was living
with me at the time. The guitar I used on this track was my
beloved, "broken, stolen kramer" played straight
through a marshall head, direct to the board with a wah pedal
in between. Thus began all my participation with the rays
thereafter on stage and in sessions.

Lucas who was in Captain Beefheart's Magic Band plays
on this cd and Joe
Deninzon who plays a 6 string violin also plays on this
cd. This cd is available a lot of places but can easily be

THE
GREAT ATOMIC POWER
The Mushroom of Destruction
1999 (Transcendental Records)
Seahag
Mangano - guitars
Geoff Haba - drums
George Mack - bass
Daniel Carter - sax, flute
Armond Tanzarian - sax, keys, vocals
Avram Fefer - bass clarinet, sax
Giovanni Fusco - vibraphone
This
album was recorded in November/December of 1999. We were very
much drugged up on chocolate buzz during the making of this
album. Yes, Chocolate candies. Some of the results of all
the work put into this album I can not believe. All instrumental
and 6 songs. Basically this band is me, Geoff, and George.
The rest are valued guests who did a lot of cool shit. George
Mack fronted the cash for the recording and rehearsing and
it was his idea to get us all together to do this. We only
did 3 rehearsals and i can't believe how cool everything came
out. This album is currently not in print. The band resides
in Austin (mack), Los Angeles (haba) , and NYC (mangano).
Isn't that funny? Another album will be made by the way. A
sophomore attempt that's bound to be different. Lorax
also designed the cd artwork and took the photos and it's
a rad looking evil cover that looks great on t-shirts.
songs include:
Motion / Black & Blue / Sampsons Wig / 357 / Vesuvius
/ Equinox

IZ
Tattoo E.P. (varg records)
1996
Dave
Freifelder - drums/percussion
George Prekel - bass
Robert Mangano - guitar/vocal
Adriano Farinella - lead guitar
Carl
Restivo - lead vocal
This
E.P. was recorded live at a soundstage at Levelhead Studios
on June 18th, 1996. This E.P. was very strong in rocking the
house and was our second album (first being "what is
what" from 1995 not pictured). I pretty much played rhythm
guitar. It sounds pretty hightech and no mixing was done.
Just mastering and editing. It was recorded straight to DAT
also. I'd say that the best thing about this album is the
cover though. All members of the band are on this cover. This
was Laura
Eggplant's (aka the Lorax) first cd cover. She did such
a good job on it. We were never at this Krishna party. But
yeah that's me in the front center. Hold your mouse over the
cd to see where our heads are placed on other bodies. Whether
this album is available anymore I can't say. Restivo pretty
much holds all recordings and records of this band.
songs
include:
Tattoo / Peanut Butter and Jelly / Drink No Water
/ Stripped Down, Looking Forward / I Eat Meat / Too Many Yo-Yo's

a little extra vol. 1 (cassette)
1996
Adriano
Farinella - guitar
David Freifelder - drums and percussion
Robert Mangano - guitar, vocals, bass, keyboard
George Prekel - bass
Carl Restivo - vocals, guitar, keyboard, bass, drums.
from
the liner notes by Carl Restivo.
"These songs are a gift for all of our fans who come
to the concerts all the time, and for the fans who want to
go but can't for assorted reasons (age, cash, etc...). These
tunes are, for the most part, about 1/3rd of all our new ideas,
happenin' improvs, completed songs, & not so completed
songs."
This
is probably the most interesting IZ album that we released
to the public. Its got a lot of songs in their rarest form
and many first time takes at songs, Live cover songs etc.
This was for people to make copies of and took up 45 minutes
of a 90 minute tape. The cover is done by Jimb Tudesco
before WRONG was even a thing. Of course this album is available
and the whole thing should be mp3'd. It's designed to be free.
songs include:
PB&J/I eat meat/ Gray's Papaya/Wanna Be Startin'
Somethin/ I got a rash from the ocean/give me money/ Kent/
Talk dirty to me / Do it again, Return of Zababo / Camel Filters
/ You're the One that I Want / A message to you... dear jennifer
/ Drink No Water / Robbie Takes a Piss / That's the way I
live my Balls. |
apologies..

What Is What
1995
Carl
Restivo - guitar, vocals
Robert Mangano - guitar, recorder
Adriano Farinella - guitar
George Prekel - bass
Dave Friefelder - drums
This
CD was recorded in Wayne, NJ. At the time I was living with
Restivo in NYC and going to college. I wasn't in
the band yet, but I started to guest vocal with the band on
a frank zappa cover (Stick it Out) and played
recorder on a song called Moon Man about some nj folklore
killer man we used to venture out to see. Restivo asked me
to play all his guitar parts on the album so we could record
faster, and he could just worry about singing. After this
was all done, I was playing all the gigs with the band and
started writing songs. This also marks the first time I started
playing live as a guitar player (not a bassist)...I did no
leads on this album, except for a bluesy bonus track ditty
at the end of the cd.
Tattoo/
Crazy in Lust / Perfect / Too Many Yo-Yo's / The Hipnotic
Balanese Monkey Dance / Days of Unreasonable Length / Moonman
/ Punky Rooster / Drink No Water / Dignity / Jade / ....that

ARCTIC
DREAMS
Deny the Confusion
1993
Keith
Pied (master knobber) - synths
Don Regan (bombardier) - guitar
Robert Mangano (retainer head) - bass
Scott Nicastro (King Swean) - drums
This
CD was recorded in 2 days at the House of Music
in West Orange, NJ. I have no idea if there are any copies
left. This is the only one I have. I'm not too happy with
the sound of this disc though. It doesn't represent what we
sounded like straight through speakers and amps, we were the
loudest band I have ever been in. In other words, I think
the cd sounds too clean and studio. My bass is barely there
due to some accidental phase cancellation that went on with
the microphones. But this was my first time being on a record.
An all instrumental fusion album back when
I was still only playing bass. I didn't write any of the music
except for a few basslines and when i was improving. That's
me in the very front center as a wierdo. In the inside cover,
there's a picture of me being swatted like a fly by a "Texas
Fly Swatter" which is a novelty giant fly swatter.
songs include:
Root Canal / On the Edge / River Rat / Mind Games / Into the
Fire / Prelude / Arctic Dreams / Frank's Boogie / Street Dreams
/ Child's Play / Jamaican Deal. |
| Seahag,
trying to sum up all my good feelings for the album
in one giant compliment I would have to say that the
thing I like most about it is that I don't know how
the fuck it snuck its way onto this planet. Also, I
like when you say those guys were really good. -Magicalpig
